The Markets – Securities Finance Technology group provides comprehensive Securities Finance solutions that extend the organizations capabilities to support the global needs of the business.  This includes day to day support for multiple applications executing core Securities Finance services (Domestic /International Trading, Cash Reinvestment, Reporting, Earnings, and Billing), as well as development project efforts supporting the securities Finance business related to new business development, efficiency/synergy, and regulatory project asks. We embrace Agile methodology and Open Source technologies. Our stack includes Java, Apache, Tomcat, Unix, Oracle, DB2 and SQL databases, and AngularJS.



Primary Job Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Ability to install, test and support vendor releases
  • Ability to develop key interfaces and other application functionality using Unix shell scripting
  • Familiarity with MS SQL Server, PL/SQL and Oracle Databases
  • Ability to speak directly with users to gather and analyze requirements
  • Ability to work independently and network with colleagues in other locations and time zones
  • Understanding of SDLC processes and procedures
  • Strong spoken and written communication ability
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, 5+ years of experience in software development required
  • Ability to develop Distributed applications using Java/J2EE and C++ technologies is a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of vendor package “Global One” or vendor package “Trading Apps” are pluses, but not required
  • Knowledge of the Securities Lending business is a plus, but not required
