The position of Regional Event Manager is an individual contributor that is  primarily responsible for the implementation of the regional events and sponsorship strategy for a particular region within Wealth Management.   The manager will work with Regional Presidents, Wealth Directors,  channel heads and segment managers to build out strategy and execute with the highest standards the event portfolio within the regions covered.  This role would specifically cover two of our major regions nationally – Northwest (San Francisco, Seattle, Denver) and Central (Chicago, Cleveland, Pittsburgh).   The event portfolio includes high touch client entertainment events (wine dinners, art tours etc.), seminars and roundtables with our internal subject matter experts, non-profit and industry sponsorships and conferences. This role would also include management of a key national sponsorship with the San Francisco 49ers.   The role of the events manager will include: ·       Strategic planning for yearly events portfolio including content and program development ·       Responsibility for execution of logistics including venue, décor, materials, signage AV ·       Partnership with other Marketing channels including brand, thought leadership, website, social media and PR ·       Oversight of regional budget within each location including vendor payments and overall tracking ·       Analyze the tracking and measurement of events through ROI reporting and dashboards  


Due to the role supporting regions in which they would not be based, travel is a requirement for approximately 20% of the time where and when major events are occurring depending and could increase with seasonality.    The Coordinator should be able to contribute at all levels, from strategy and concept to execution including content, speakers, venue, décor, materials, AV, signage, promotion and audience development. It is expected that the Coordinator will bring new, creative ideas to the table, will be able to effectively partner with the Segment leads to create new content, and develop and execute events that promote lead generation and/or client retention. In this role, the Coordinator oversees annual marketing plan creation and budget planning and, once created and approved, the Marketing Coordinator manages and is accountable for all aspects of the marketing plan execution. The Coordinator manages budgets for the programming which typically total between $1 and $2+MM per Coordinator annually. The Coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring accurate tracking and measurement of each event, and for recommending improvements to maximize impact. Marketing Coordinators interact with employees at all levels within our firm, vendors and suppliers, venue representatives and other professional contacts.     Critical skills include relationship building, excellent attention to detail, sound judgment and decision making, ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously, adaptive personality/work style, excellent written and oral communications capabilities, strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to schedule and meet deadlines is critical as the position is exceptionally deadline sensitive based on the heavy emphasis on planning required. Preferred Education: BS/BA Degree Preferred Experience: 7+ years’ experience in marketing or similar area Other: Proficiency in MS Office including word, excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrated budget management experience required.
