Job Description

The Security Operations / Vendor Oversight Manager (SOVOM) will oversee procurement functions for the Global Corporate Security group as it relates to the purchasing of goods, services, or materials from sources external to BNY Mellon to insure that they are appropriately priced in terms of quatity and location. This oversight will include all UZS and non-US sites and all Global Corporate Security (GCS) submits. The SOVOM will be responsible for the global allocation of resources, both personnel and financial, to ensure that GCS acquires premium services at a fair cost. Additionally, the SOVO M will provide general operational support to all BNYM GCS regional managers in various aspects of physical security operations, i.e., emergency response, Fire Life-Safety, access control processes, project management, adherence to building Operating Procedures Manuals (OPM's) and provide respective updates to management. Provide other support consultations as needed or requested. Additionally, this role shall be the corporate administrator and metrics gatherer of all corporate related emergency preparedness programs and related duties (i.e., curriculum, training, training attendance and regional support) for BNYMellon and provide global support to all BNYMellon Global Corporate Security Manager(s) and entities.


Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. 7-10 years of total work experience preferred. Prior experience in security preferred. 

Familiarity with the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, Security Services procurement, and vendor oversight.
